Spitfire release: ALBION IV - UIST

A look at our newest Albion range library - the enormous UIST full of incredible sounds and textures.. unmissable!!!

http://www.spitfireaudio.com/albion-volume-iv-uist

Part IV of the epic and widescreen range of composer's tools takes the mind of contemporary composer and orchestrator Ben Foskett to present large ensembles playing over 800 unique and extraordinary "progressive" articulations. Presented alongside an epic collection of nearly 200 warped orchestral hybrids powered by the eDNA engine.

UIST plays true to the Albion range in that it is recorded in large epic cinematic orchestral ensembles; Strings High, Strings Low, Winds High, Winds Low, Brass High and Brass Low all playing these incredible "progressive" techniques. With everything arranged to interlock between sections. As these ensembles are recorded via the finest vintage valve and ribbon mics to tape helmed and mixed by Jake Jackson, Albion IV is designed to integrate seamlessly with both the rest of the Albion range and as a perfect addition to the BML range.

True to the spirit of volumes 1 though 3 we have then taken these extraordinary recordings and have warped them into a staggering selection of totally unique hybrid sounds. These vary from organic orchestras from another place and age to screaming synths and staggering pads. There is only one way we could present this "Stephenson's Steam Band IV" section of UIST and that as a cartridge for our amazing eDNA engine. Which will enable to morph your listener's world from that of orchestral wonder to mind warping electronics.
Installed NCW compressed size.. 61.0 GB from uncompressed 32 bit WAV = 107.8 GB 25,750 samples 76.7 HOURS!

Cinesamples : CineSymphony LITE Review

Hi guys
This i sthe review of Cinesamples new product CineSymphony LITE by Daniel James.

CineSymphony LITE is a comprehensive sketch tool recorded at the world famous MGM Scoring Stage at Sony Pictures studios in Los Angeles, and recorded by industry veteran Dennis Sands. CineSymphony LITE covers the essentials of all orchestral instrument sections, and provides students and professional composers with a solid starting foundation in their music scoring palette.

CineSymphony LITE is revolutionary in its simplicity and ability to recreate the sound of the orchestra.  The library was designed by composers, for composers, with direct feedback from the film community during its development.  It was specifically designed to be a compser's sketch or travel kit, but also a learning kit for beginners.  The result is a library that is easy to use, composer-friendly, and sounds professionally mixed right out of the box without being too demanding on hardware.
CineSymphony LITE does not require you to purchase any additional sample playback software, and is licensed to work with the Native Instrument’s  free Kontakt Player.  All you need is a sequencer like Logic, Cubase, Digital Performer, LIVE, Protools, or Cakewalk, and you’ll be up and running.
